The 19th China International Hardware Show (CIHS) successfully concluded in the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on October 12, 2019. It is reported that the organizers have increased their overseas promotion this year so as to more industry buyers worldwide can attend. According to the latest data, CIHS 2019 covered an exhibition area of 120,000 square meters this year, accommodated more than 2,620 exhibiting enterprises. 40,356 visitors visited CIHS, including 3,565 visitors from overseas, up 8 percent from last year. CIHS is a trade fair co-organised by Koelnmesse Co., Ltd. and China National Hardware Association and acclaimed as "the barometer of the hardware market and the wind vane of industry development".  As the largest hardware exhibition in Asia and the second largest in the world, it has presented leading products and technologies to the global hardware industry for eighteen consecutive years and enjoys a high reputation in the industry.

Improving the exhibition quality again and focusing on the exhibition effects

This year's CIHS has been upgraded yet again with a focus on improving the participation and exhibition effects. In particular, the organisers conducted online and offline business-matching services to provide personalised negotiation services for customers with various needs. Professional visitors and exhibitors who signed up in advance could schedule their arrangements and travel before CIHS, invite their intended clients directly to CIHS for face-to-face negotiation. Such improvements facilitated both the visitors and exhibitors increasing their efficiency in limited exhibition time. In addition, the offline business match-making fair held at the same time, with focus on serving Chinese hardware export enterprises and build a business bridge for professional visitors of hardware companies' leading products from Germany, Italy, U.K., Denmark, Turkey, Australia, Indonesia and etc.

First industry development Summit to promote upgrading and transformation at CIHS 2019

CIHS held the "China International Hardware Show Industry Development Summit" for the first time this year, in order to interpret the current situation and promote the upgrading and transformation of the hardware industry. Interpretation of data, and exploration of the future development trend of the industry. At the summit, Executive director ZHANG Dongli of the China National Hardware Association as the representative of association parties showed the customs data of the hardware industry on-site and interpreted the import and export reports of the Chinese hardware industry over the past three years. On behalf of e-commerce platforms, Mr. ZHENG Changqing, VP, eBay Inc., General Manager, eBay Cross Border Trade Business, Chinese Mainland, showed the participants, from the perspective of e-commerce, how online approaches help the hardware industry develop new sales channels.  Mr. Oliver Ginestier, Executive Assistant of EDRA/GIHN themed his speech on the solid European retail channels and demonstrated the current market developments of hardware products in Europe, which aroused heated discussion and reflections among exhibitors and professional visitors.

CIHS 2019 "Most Popular Product Award"

In 2018, the organisers initiated the "Classic & Innovation" gallery in order to answer the call of the 19th CPC National Congress to deepen the supply-side reform and to increase the adaptability and flexibility of the supply structure to demand changes. The on-site exhibition was well received as a result. In 2019, the gallery was upgraded in an all-round way, focusing on full-line products of the hardware industry and aiming at the advanced technology and high-quality hardware products in the industry. It enabled classics and innovations to be displayed on the same stage. A voting link was set up in the gallery area to invite professional visitors to on-site voting, which attracted a large number of professional visitors to participate and vote for their favorite products. On the morning of the third day of CIHS 2019, the organisers selected the top three most popular products and awarded them the "CIHS Most Popular Product Award", which work together to facilitate the development of China's hardware industry. The award winners are: YUYAO SHUNYI TOOLS (nylon tape measure)、JIANGSU CHAOFENG TOOLS CO., LTD. (Diamond saw blade) 、JIANGSU WADEEH MAERIALS TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. (SILIGUN subverts).
