CIHS 2014 readies for another successful year

Asia’s top hardware manufacturers and buyers will gather once again at the region’s leading trade event, the China International Hardware Show (CIHS), this year from Sep 18-20 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. Also the world’s second largest hardware fair, this edition is poised to provide enhanced services for the changing market needs.

Some 2,680 domestic manufacturers with the likes of Max Power, Great Wall Precision, Great Star, China-Land, Hongbao and Sun-flex have confirmed their participation, together with 120 overseas companies from over ten countries and regions, including Germany, Italy, the US, Japan, Korea, India and Taiwan. Renowned international brands to be expected range from Germany’s KULLEN, RHODIUS and VÖLKEL, as well as Plastmeccanica from Italy. Supported by the Association of German Tool Manufacturers (FWI) and the Importers and Exporters Association of Taipei, visitors can anticipate a wide range of products showcased by exhibitors from the two famous hardware-producing regions.

Aimed at providing face time opportunities between exhibitors and international buyers from Europe and the US, the President’s Council Buying Day will prove to be a major drawcard for all at the fair. Invited buyers include Ace Hardware, B&Q, Baumax, Canadian Tire, Castorama, Do It Best, Focus, Gamma, Home Hardware, Leroy Merlin, OBI, Praktiker, Sodimac and True Value.

Aside from that, activities like the annual National Lock Dealer Conference, The 6th Cutting & Polishing Applied Technology Forum and procurement events will also be held alongside an enriching conference program.

Besides showcasing a comprehensive range of hardware, CIHS 2014 will also spotlight several key product categories from domestic manufacturers, such as wire mesh, locks and smart locks, bolts as well as tools.

With the pre-registration system now available, visitors are encouraged to put down their name in advance online. Visitors who know Mandarin will also be able to download the latest mobile application to facilitate pre-registration and enjoy more convenience at the event.
