China’s top hardware show sold out months ahead of opening
Date:2012/6/27
Show organizers of the China International Hardware Show (CIHS) announced recently that all booth spaces at the event have been snapped up by the industry, which sees exhibitor number soaring to a record high. The trade fair – China’s largest of its kind – to be held from Sep 19-21 in Shanghai, will be housing over 2,400 exhibitors across ten halls.
Organizers attributed the enthusiastic response partly to the implementation of policies by the Chinese government to grow domestic demand and stabilize foreign demand through increased investment in infrastructure projects, resulting in positive spill over effects to the second and third tier markets.
A spokesperson of the organizing team noted that CIHS has been promoting the concept of balanced development in four core aspects: domestic and international; mature and emerging; urban and rural and both high and low-end markets.
He added that while increased efforts are now geared towards attracting buyers from Europe and the U.S., the emerging markets are also a key target.
The China International Building Hardware Show and the China International Locks & Security Show are back at CIHS 2012 - bigger and better.
Establishing independent sub-shows for these product categories is understood to be an important step and symbol of the show’s growing specialization. Architectural hardware as a traditional major export of China`s hardware industry, with a huge market both at home and globally while locks is a traditional yet emerging product group. In recent years, with the mechanical and electrical integration, rapid development of smart technology and the lock cylinder equipment modification, the market prospect is broad.
In addition, the return of the“protective products”and the“Abrasives” zones is accompanied by the debut of the “processing & Manufacture Equipment” zone in response to the industry’s wishes.
A showcase dubbed “Best of China” will be spotlighting new products from domestic tool makers.
The exhibition will also be highlighting the low-carbon concept, promoting environmental friendly and energy saving products and technologies. A series of seminars involving technology, market and real estate trends will be held alongside the exhibition for closer interaction within the industry.
CIHS 2012 is in its 12th run.
